Yellowstone newcomer Lainey Wilson causes a stir with new photo ahead of season 5

The country music singer joins Kevin Costner in the new series

    Yellowstone fans are eagerly awaiting season five of the popular Western drama – and newcomer Lainey Wilson has teased them with a new photo from the Montana set.

    The country music singer was announced as a new cast member in June, but she doesn't have to dig too deep to get into character for her new role as she is slated to play a musician named Abby on the show.

    On Tuesday, Lainey caused a stir among her followers when she took to her Instagram to share a new behind-the-scenes photo, which showed her sitting in a folding chair with the logo emblazoned across the back of it.

    She also posted a video on her Stories which gave fans a glimpse of the real-life ranch that is used as the set for the show in Darby, Montana. Many of country music's biggest stars reacted to the photo, including Carly Pearce, Callista Clark, and Brittney Spencer, who all shared their excitement over Lainey's new role.

    Fans also expressed their joy, with one responding: "I CAN'T TAKE IT!" A second said: "So deserving". A third added: "Can't wait for the new season just to watch you, Queen."

    Lainey will star as a musician in season five

    Lainey isn't the only new face who will appear in season five of the Kevin Costner-led drama. star Kai Caster, 's Lilli Kay, and Dawn Olivieri - who also portrayed Claire Dutton in the prequel series - will be joining the cast as new recurring characters.

    However, that's not all, as it was also revealed that several other cast members who haven't been on the show for some time will also be making a comeback in the upcoming season.

    Fan-favorite cast members Mo Brings Plenty (Mo) and Wendy Moniz (Governor Lynelle Perry) have been officially promoted to series regulars, and Josh Lucas, Kylie Rogers, and Kyle Red Silverstein, who play Young John Dutton, Young Beth Dutton, and Young Rip Wheeler, respectively, will once again have recurring roles.
