Juniata Gap Elementary class quarantined after faculty member tests positive for COVID-19

A class in the Altoona Area School District is quarantining after a faculty member tested positive for COVID-19, officials said Monday.

School officials say the faculty member worked at Juniata Gap Elementary School and the person’s class will be quarantined through Wednesday as a precaution.

School officials say the families affected were directly notified and the classroom and other common areas will be completely sanitized and disinfected.

All other students and staff were told to continue with their current activities.
